Apex Mountain Ski Resort

Apex Mountain Resort located just 33 km west of Penticton. Within British Columbia area, it provide quality snow, uncrowded slopes, and a cozy alpine village.

The mountain has 79 runs across 1,112 skiable acres and a vertical drop of 2,000 feet (610 meters). Somehow people call it “Okanagan champagne powder”. On the one hand, Apex combines excellent skiing with a family-friendly atmosphere; on the other hand, it provided an advanced skier tackling steeps. Basically it mixed with varied terrain area like 16% beginner, 48% intermediate, and 36% advanced/expert runs. In addition, there are four terrain parks suit for all levels. The Steep chutes and glades are great news to experts.

How to Get There?

As it located in South Okanagan, you requires some planning to get there. If you want to drive there from Vancouver, it take you around 4.5 hours via highway 1 to hope. And then use highway 3 through Princeton to Keremeos and finally highway 3A to Apex Mountain. For sure, proper winter tires are highly recommended (Please check DriveBC for conditions)

If you drive from Kelowna, just simply take highway 97 and you will arrive in just an hour and a half.

What’s special in Apex?

It seem all the basic facilities are provided in Apex, such as 1-km skating loop. Family can enjoy wild skating in a safe loop. In addition, the snowshoe trails and beginner friendly magic carpets are ideal for kids and family. Apex also provide dining, shopping and accommodations. You don’t need to worry about finding hotels nearby.

With 79 runs, it’s good enough to most of the skier and snowboarder. The Quickdraw Quad with double black run will satisfy most of the players. Furthermore, the high-speed quad chairlift, triple chair, T-bar and magic carpet make it so efficient to access the mountain. Theoretically Apex can handle 4000 skiers per hour.

Apex also provide night ski time and different activities. It’s great for weekend and holiday fun days.
