Located in Edmonton’s Strathcona Science Provincial Park, Sunridge Ski Area offers a lively winter experience just a short drive from the city center. With 15 trails on 72 acres, the resort accommodates skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
Sunridge has a vertical length of 140 feet, served by seven lifts consisting of quad and triple chairlifts, magic carpets, and T-bars. The terrain was carefully laid out to fit progression, providing excellent terrain for beginners and intermediates.
Freestyle enthusiasts will enjoy three terrain parks here—Porcupine, Yellowhead, and Big Park—each of which boasts a selection of features to challenge and inspire. Sunridge also features the only public Skier/Snowboard Cross Course in the Edmonton area, offering a thrilling option for those in search of a rush.
Additionally, The resort has a completely certified ski and snowboard school that offers comprehensive courses for all ages and levels of abilities. From walking on the snow for the very first time to achieving expert skills, the instructors provide one-on-one guidance to enhance your experience.
Night skiing is available from Monday through Friday, so visitors can ski at night. The chalet of the resort is the central gathering place, with dining and a cozy atmosphere in which to wait out a few runs.
