Located just 20 minutes north of Thompson, Manitoba, Mystery Mountain Winter Park is a family-oriented ski resort that offers an eclectic mix of winter sports. The park offers 18 downhill runs served by four lifts, including a tow rope, a T-bar, and two Poma lifts, accommodating skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.
For snowboarders and freestyle skiers, the park features a terrain park with kickers, boxes, and rails maintained by the local freestyle community. Safety always comes first, with helmets mandatory in the terrain park.
In addition to downhill skiing, Mystery Mountain offers over 22 kilometers of groomed and ungroomed cross-country ski trails perfect for skate skiing, classic skiing, and snowshoeing.
The park operates primarily on holidays and weekends between mid-November and mid-April, and extended hours depending on daylight. The park is owned by the Thompson Ski Club, a not-for-profit organization that maintains responsibility for the promotion of winter sports in the region.
Additionally, amenities in the park include a fully serviced chalet that has a concession stand, ski school, and rental shop. Snowboard and ski rental equipment is available.
