Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort is located in the Boundary Country between Greenwood and Grand Forks in southern British Columbia. The resort is a community-owned, non-profit ski hill run by the Phoenix Mountain Alpine Ski Society. People always call it “The Best Little Mountain in BC,”. Why? It offers 91 acres with 22 runs, an 800-foot (244-meter) vertical drop. The views of Monashee Mountains is amazing. The average snowfall of 150–200 inches (380–500 cm) is absolutely perfect. The family-oriented facilities make it kid-friendly. Most of the part is operated by a volunteer board. The affordability and community spirit are one of the highlight.

There are varied Terrain: 22 runs (25% beginner, 50% intermediate, 25% advanced). Also, the terrain park for big air and glades for powder stashes. With a T-bar accessing intermediate and advanced terrain. Then you can have the Expansive scenes of the Monashee Mountains from a sun-filled lodge deck. A new Resort Master Plan (approved pre-2025) supports phased development, including more terrain, base area expansion, and summer biking trails, backed by a 30-year operating agreement. How to Get to the Phoenix Mountain?
You can surely drive from Vancouver, it take 500 km (5–6 hours) east on Highway 1 to Hope, then Highway 3 through Princeton and Osoyoos. And then from Highway 3, turn north onto Phoenix Ski Area Road (21 km west of Grand Forks, 19 km east of Greenwood, marked by an overhead sign). The 8-km road is snowy. Be careful and must have the snowtire equipped. You can also fly into Kelowna International via Air Canada or WestJet from Vancouver. Just rent a car (~CAD 50–120/day) and drive 2.5–3 hours.
